WSP 75th ANNIVERSARY
Wisconsin State Patrol commemorated 75 years in 2014 and the WSPAA provided assistance and support:

These anniversary projects were designed to honor the legacy of the State Patrol and recognize its exceptional contribution to traffic and public safety since its inception.
Organizational Chart
A statewide steering committee coordinated 75th Anniversary events:
Sgt. Scott Lindemann (retired) was the WSPAA representative on the working committee.
Anniversary Video
A special video to honor the current and former members of the State Patrol was created.
Anniversary Banquet
The commemorative 75th Anniversary Banquet for the Wisconsin State Patrol was held Friday evening, August 15, 2014 at the Chula Vista Resort, 2501 River Road, Wisconsin Dells.
Commemorative Book
A committee edited the anniversary book, which is filled with historical information, personal stories and photos. More than 500 copies of the book were purchased.
Commemorative Badges
As part of the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary and in cooperation with the Wisconsin Troopers Association, Supt. Fitzgerald has authorized the wearing of an approved commemorative badge throughout calendar year 2014.
The badges capture the look of the original badges worn by our predecessors in the 1930s and 1940s. Wear a piece of agency history as we celebrate three quarters of a century of outstanding public service.
Commemorative License Plate & Cruiser Decals
Anniversary license plates were mounted on
marked State Patrol vehicles. Anniversary decals also were applied to the
vehicles.
Challenge Coins
The WTA offered special edition challenge coins for the anniversary.
Wisconsin Traffic Safety Reporter Issue on the Anniversary
The latest edition of the Wisconsin Traffic Safety Reporter is devoted to the 75-year history of the State Patrol.
